HAPPY 80th ANNIVERSARY!
In July 1945, months before the end of World War II, the Norton Singers was born. Our founders could never have imagined that, 80 years later, we would still be bringing high-quality musical and theatrical performances to southeastern Massachusetts. But thanks to their vision—and your unwavering support—our dream has not only endured, but thrived. Your volunteer time, shared talent, and loving presence at our performances are the heart of the Norton Singers, and we are deeply grateful for each and every one of you.
To celebrate this incredible milestone, we are planning an exciting year of events, and we would love for you to be a part of it. Rehearsals for our summer show, Sunday in the Park with George by Stephen Sondheim, begin in March. The Social Committee is planning a fun get-together for our members and friends this summer. Our 80th Anniversary Spectacular is shaping up to be a truly memorable event this fall. Plus, our Play Reading Committee is already dreaming up ideas for the 2026 season! There is a place for everyone to showcase their talents and join in the fun, and we would be honored for you to participate.
Our founders might be amazed to see us—still active and vibrant—80 years later. But we’re not stopping! We want to honor our rich history and ensure that the Norton Singers continues for another 80 years and beyond. To do that, we are launching an ambitious "80 for 80" annual campaign to help us expand our programming, enhance our technical capabilities, and build a strong foundation for the future.
We have set a goal of raising $80,000 in our annual campaign this year, and while we are applying for grants and seeking corporate sponsorships, we know our greatest strength is YOU, our community of supporters. That is why we are reaching out to you to ask for your help in making this dream a reality. We are asking you to consider making a tax-deductible donation to the Norton Singers to help us continue our mission.
