Norton Singers is pleased to announce its first show in far too long, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a musical by Rachel Sheinkin and William Finn, featuring a brand-new production team for the group: direction by Nate Parkman and music direction by Brittany Dyer Pittman. We are also looking for any new volunteers to participate in the crew.
For those who haven't seen it, the show is about an "eclectic group of mid-pubescents who vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. Six spellers enter, one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box." The Bee will go up in February; auditions are taking place October 24 and 25 (and call backs October 26) at our old stomping grounds, the Norton Media Center. We'll be posting audition notices soon, but the play calls for nine characters and promises to be a fun time for everyone! Hope to see you at auditions...or at the show...it will be great to get back together!
